So, this happened today when i went to the eye doctor for my eye check-up.My girlfriend was worried flipping through the pages of a magazine and chit chatting with me.
I registered my name feeling nervous but the attendent said i will have to wait for about an hour.
I registered and paid Rs 200 INR and had a close look at Mahatma who was smiling and wearing his specs.
I tried not to look at his glasses and bid him bye with the receptionist who gave me a card which was labbeled as "Patient Identification Card".
I didnt give it any look and stuffed it in my wallet and with my girlfriend i had a nice coffee and a quality time talking about things which we do are so facinating to others who think they are normal and acceptable human beings who are the ideal blocks on the walls of a so called society.
They think we are hillarious and entertain them with our life.
Anyways we were back to the hospital where i was told to wait and then go to room no. 2.
I was told to place my chin on a steel frame and i was shown some light and told to look through the glass.
I saw a road and a hot air balloon suspended in mid air.The hippie colored sky and the beautiful scenery for a moment i felt i will enjoy if they show this on screen for others too who are healthy and never visit any eye clinics.
The blur broke my trip and then i felt fear my vision was blurring i felt like "I cant take the sunlight...I'm a vampire".My eyes started watering and i felt i have to wear the most dreaded thing "spectacles"!
I was told to go to the first floor and wait near the cabin 101.I was waiting and i saw serious people and some not so serious noisy couple.My sight was stuck on the wallclock which was a masterpiece from H.M.T.
The clock was eye shaped beautifully carved metal eye whose center was the needle ticking.
Some artists mind had evolved his thoughts on this beautiful clock.Time captured in your vision.
I read my card which said "Patient Identification Card".I felt the word "Patient" striking me to feel like a patient and act like one who needs to feel sick.
I was feeling the right opposite of my thoughts and i was blooming with my visionary senses.The beautiful wallclock the kid who was running around the cabin trying to unlock the doors handle which was not in his reach.I felt i studied life and when i entered the cabin the doctor felt she has seen so many eyes and whats so special on his eyes.She told me to place my chin on another steel frame.This time the light was harsh and i felt the sun had engulfed the hot air ballon.I took out my head out of the frame and rubbed my eyes which was watering.The doctor told it was just for few seconds and then my eyes readings were taken.
The doctor told me to read the board and i read random alphabets with one eye closed.The letters were changing randomly and were becoming smaller in each following rows.
The next test was to read from a book which showed different cities names.
I was told all is fine.I left the cabin happily and told my girlfriend everything was ok.She smiled the most beautiful smile which said i was worried for you.
We went back but i wonder why this card says "Patient Identification Card".
Are we to believe that we are patients when we register our names?
why are we made to feel that way if i felt it waiting and reading the card.
so i feel all is well but nothing is fine!
